Why don't you port Scratch to Wii?
It costs a lot of money to make a Wii game, and the Wii doesn't run Squeak, Flash, or Java.

Good question.
In their monthly webinars, the Scratch team confirmed that there would be cloud lists.

Wrong. The Wii runs Flash - AND java, since I have successfully played a youtube video on it AND played a java game on it. So, Scratch Alpha can be run on the Wii if you have the Internet Channel.

why not? It keeps the same old features and adds new ones. You don't have to use the new ones if you don't want, but i really like it!

Yes, just like Scratch 1.4 and every other scratch version.
Or, from what I've heard, it will be online, but will still require downloading data.
