HydroCity, maybe you could upload a test of the game so we can see what exactly the problem is. The one on the Wiki works for me so double-check everything is the same. Are you sure you have the platform colour/sprite set correctly in the script?

It is possible that the ground is too thin. If yvel is too big, it will skip right past it.

I've fixed it. Basically, you got the colours in the script wrong and the ScriptHolder sprite was constantly changing yvel even if sprite1 was on the floor. I've uploaded the fixed one

NOTE: sometimes you have to press the green flag multiple times for the sprite to fall, or you can press space.
