Scratch

I'm going to see it tomorrow O_o. Fingers crossed its a good one! I'm thinking it will be as firstly, it has Johnny Depp and Tim Burton in it and secondly, it's trying to bring back the more traditional, less glittery vampire 

I found it very entertaining!  It's not exactly a stretch for Johnny Depp to play pallid creepy people - but I thought he did well with the role.  Disclaimer:  I was never a fan of the original series and don't know how good a job this film does relating to the source material.

Didn't the original series have something crazy like a thousand episodes? I hear Depp and Burton were both huge fans of the series as kids

Yeah! I did like how they tried to make it seem cheesy, like with a CGI heart scene XD They made it poorly animated on purpose, belive it or not. When it came on screen, I whispered to my mom "OH NO! HER HEART IS A CRUDELY ANIMATED CGI!!!"

Yeah. When I went, there was some poor little 6 year old girl with her dad. After the movie, she looked traumatized.

i saw the movie i thought it was quite well made and that some parts were

Dark Shadows WAS action. Seriously. It had a house catching on fire, a building blowing up, a witch getting bodyslammed into a chandelier, an EPIC battle scene, and a vampire Johnny Depp eating people every 2 seconds.

My friends dragged me along to The Hunger Games and there was a 4 year-old sitting next to me.

Poor kid. My mom says there were kids slitting eachother's necks in one scene.
