Millennium Problems

There are six major unsolved math problems that are called the Millennium Problems. There used to be seven of them, but one has been solved. I am not positive, but I think that I have solved the P vs. NP problem.

he's gonna donate it to ST  smile
come on, share the solution  tongue  lets see if we can detect the mistake  big_smile

edit: you say you've got it and don't say if np = p or not. thats not polite  sad

Re: Millennium Problems

s7_13, at least tell us if P = NP  smile
I hope it isn't, because I was thinking of solving one of those, and if P=NP then it would make my work useless  tongue

EDIT
also, how old are you??

A set of seven problems that were published by the CMI to show that maths was still unsolved... each has a prize of 1 million U.S. dollars.

One of them has already been solved  smile

By the way, if anyone's going to do one, you better start now, because a million dollars with this hyperinflation going on might become worthless soon  tongue

Re: Millennium Problems

If my solution is correct, P does not equal NP (which sucks in a lot of ways). I am fourteen years old right now, but I have been working on this since I was thirteen. I am going to see if my uncle, who's a math major, can detect any mistakes.

Re: Millennium Problems

Very interesting, I wish you the best of luck finding a solution!

For those of you interested in the problem, here's the Wiki page. I just had a read since I'd not heard of the problem before and thought others might be interested!

The Riemann Hypothesis? I'd warn you, I tried, and failed miserably. If you could, that would be great, though, because most mathematicians say that that is the most important unsolved problem right now.
