I don't suggest it, I tried that and the version change messed up everything to the point where it was beyond fixing the new forums.

The next version of FluxBB?). If upgrading the version destroys forums, I don't think there'd be many forums left by now.

No, no, the problems had nothing to do with a coding issue, I'm afraid. 

And it wasn't upgrading the forums, it was transferring to a new host and changing some things along the way.

How can it be working fine for about a week and then just suddenly break?

Because it wasn't, it was broke all along.

It didn't seem like it, it was only after a week it started saying "cannot fetch topic info" blah blah blah.
