some useful things that scratch is missing:
-built in grid
-ability to hide/show lists
-renaming variables/lists
-the ability to put "when i receive" comands in the "if" command
-more options in the "if key pressed" command. eg. enter or shift
-more than 1 sprite can stamp at a time
-more customising of textures eg. you can change the colour of the text in a variable or list etc.

Some of these will be implemented, such as the show and hide lists. Some, on the other hand, will not... A grid would be useful (and we technically already have a 480x360 grid) but it would not be useful in all situations, and could be hard to use if you don't want to use it.
Just say some blocks out loud: If when I receive broadcast, go to 0, 0. If when I receive??? When I receive is a trigger, not a Boolean. And also, I receive?/I'm receiving? has already been accepted...
Some of your ideas are great though, such as renaming variables. Some might have been suggested before, but they weren't accepted, so it doesn't hurt to bring them back as a reminder...

Yes, but there would be enough time to run the command.
