Awesome! That looks really cool.
I bet your parents aren't too happy about it functioning well.
But if there's ever an apocalypse you might be prepared!

@topic:
That's epic. I really want to take archery, but there really aren't very many lessons up here. D:

Funny, in about two hours starts my first archery class. I once made a wooden bow with a wool string, but it only shot about 5 meters and eventually broke, lol.
Making the arrow isn't that hard, though making a functional tip is something I haven't figured out yet.

Just take some metal and grind it to a point.

Nice At first I thought you meant the knot and was confused XD
It sounds awesome- I wish I could do archery (though I would probably stink at it). The most I've done is make a bow out of a paper clip, tape, and several rubber bands. It went pretty far, though, considering scale (about 6 ft for 1 in arrows and 1 1/2 in bow). Plus I managed to chip my computer screen (by aiming directly at it for some reason).

I once ade a bamboo spear with feathers stuck in the back. At best, i could throw it about 80 meters! I have also made three clubs, a wooden dagger and a wooden sword. THEY ARE USEFUL! Oh, If it sounds like I'm bragging then I'm not. M 'Friend' Dylan made a bow for a japanese project. He never made any arrows. For the same assignment, I made a Bo Staff. It was a broomstick painted black. Seriously, I should have made a bokken (Large wooden sword)
I have actually taken classes with all of those lessons, and also can use kamas and Escrima Sticks

How'd I know you'd get in on this discussion, Mrs. Arts and Crafts?

Oh, come now, it's obvious that if there's an Arts and Crafts discussion about I'd be lurking around.

I remember in 5th grade when I made a bow with a C-shaped piece of wood, a rubber band, and some duct tape. When the teachers asked me what it was, I told them that it was a 'music machine' and innocently plucked it, making a musical note.
Little did they know that my pocket was full of pencil cap erasers that I had notched with a pair of scissors. In the gymnasium, I secretly shot one 'arrow' with as much power as I could... BOOM! That thing hit someone right in the ankle from across the gym, and they fell over in pain. At that moment, I realized that I should probably stop making weapons in school before I got expelled.
Moral: 5th graders are not innocent.

Oh wow.
Just wow.
Making weapons in school is never a good idea.
However, I make weapons in school all the time.
I'm homeschooled
