Want to get your project reviewed? Well, do I have news for you...

Want a project reviewed? Want ideas for how to make it better? Want to get noticed? Well, just post a link here, and I'll review it lickity-split, guarenteed as soon as I see your link! Easy, huh?

Here's a quick key:

✰~Awful
✰✰~Needs Improvement
✰✰✰~In the middle
✰✰✰✰~Good
✰✰✰✰✰~Excellent
✰✰✰✰✰✰~The maker of this game is a programming genius.

If I am online, and your project has not been reviewed within five minutes, post a comment on my most recent project reminding me. If I am offline...do the same thing, just so I can prioritize.

Reccomend me! :D

Keep It Up: Review

I'm sure you've played Keep It Up before; with either your friends or an electronic machine, Keep it Up is addicting and fun. Now, Keep It Up's addicting premise is brought to scratch by RedRocker227.

The game is simple: bounce the ball with your mouse, don't let go, avoid hazards like spikes, and collect coins to up your score. The addiction is supported by top-notch graphics, a cheery soundtrack, and a sense of replayability. You could easily spend fifteen minutes with this scratch game, possibly more as you aim for the high scores.

Overall, the creator has done a fantastic job integrating all of Keep It Up's highly addictive, fun, wacky gameplay into the scratch program.

Rayman4 Review

ººº

Rayman4, which is fairly self-explainitory by the title, is a scratch game based off of the popular video games series that stars Rayman, the limbless wonder.

At first glance, Rayman4 looks pretty fun. It's graphics are smooth, cartoony, and don't look like they were copied and pasted into the project, with a lot of white edges. the chracters looks appealing, and the text system works pretty well. The menupage is especially smooth and welcoming. But are things always as they seem?

Rayman4 is pretty darn hard. The jumping physics are pretty weird, making even the first level a challenge for anyone but the experts. Also, the game itself simply feels glitchy. When Muffy is giving you the tutorial, if you die in the middle, all of the land disappears and Rayman is standing on nothing as Muffy explains how mushrooms works. There are other, various glitches, factoring in some weird physics quibbles, and this game really doesn't meet my expectations.

I could probably go on and on, but I won't waste your time. Rayman4 isn't a bad game: just a glitchy, challenging one.

on April 29th, it's official release date, i'll prove to you how good it is then.  big_smile  of course, that will require you to review it again if you don;t mind. i;ve got 2 weeks to fix them! also, the difficulty replicates Rayman 1 (if you remember it, VERY hard!) and in the project notes is the link to the massive walk-through guide. still, i understand every other comment made.

Revenge of the Fallen Review

I have plenty of quibbles with Revenge of the Fallen, right from the beginning. The graphics are medicore at best, and evict a cringe at worst. Plenty of annoying glitches such as variables piling on top of each other so you can't tell how much ammo you have left until it's too late, as well as bad gameplay decisions. Your enemies don't move-they stay in one place until you shoot them. Not to metion the inconveniance of having to keep one hand on the "R" Button the whole time, while trying to shoot (by clicking the mouse) at the same time.

I could go on and on, but you probably get the idea.

Scratch OS Beta 2.1 Review

There aren't that many OS's odder than this one. For one thing, there are only 3 "apps" and if you click information, a screenshot of the scratch homepage pops up, with no text whatsoever. There is a pong game included with the OS, but it is very dull and offers no "fun" whatsoever. The paint tool at least offers a variety of colors, but even that gets spoiled due to sloppy variable overlap, almost no brush choices whatsoever, and the way that buttons do not disappear when the app is clicked.

Don't bother with this one.

Space Battle Review

Space Battle is an entertaining game-there's no doubt about that. It's very cleverly made, putting the updates (to your ship) very easily accessible from on-screen, allowing you to choose the control scheme (mouse or A and D,) And, beforehand, doing an in-game explenation. The game is difficult, but it never gets so hard that you just give up after a single death. No, thanks to the generous amount of money, upgrades, and fuel and health packs floating around the screen, Space Battle has a certian addictive quality that makes you want to play it again and again.

However, the graphics are far less impressive. It's fairly obvious from the ugly look of things that the scratch editor was very "handy" in the creation of this game. Everything that was not created in scratch was obvious taken from Google, and either boasted a small ring of white, or had misshaped pixels from being shortened/hightened. However, the game, in it's gameplay, does make up for some of it's ugly cut-and-paste visuals.

Overall, this is a pretty decent game. There's a lot here to please action-game fans, and even with it's not-so-perfect visuals, I enjoyed playing Space Battle, and it's shaping up to being a pretty fun game.

METALERIA Review

ººº

METALRIA is easily the weirdest minecraft-type game I have ever played in scratch. The game's prontagist, an unamed-metal machine that has nothing whatsoever to do with minecraft whatsoever, carried no mining material! The wait times for this game to load are inexcusably long, and the game suffers through many glitches such as the character getting stuck inside of a block, or falling straight through the ground. There's not much to do, either-you basically bounce around and pick off blocks one by one. There is no building to this game, therefore no craft shop, just you, you're glitchy little robot friend, and your odd power to mine blocks of dirt. The game's only charms are it's lively music and likeable 8-bit graphics. However, good graphics and cheery music are no excuse for the horrid quality of this unfinished game.

I wouldn't check this one out until it's done.
