I went to MIT last year, but i'm not going this year.
I posted this on Page 7, you quoted it here

Not going to MIT this year, too far away/expensive plus I didn't get my room cleaned in time so my parents won't take me
If you're thinking "Oh $10 isn't expensive!" think about this:
MIT: $10
Hotel: About $150 per night (one or two)
Round-trip train ticket: $189
Total: $349 or $499
Don't even get me started on souvenirs
...But that's aside the point. I might go to Philadelphia one

I'm sorry, but the prototype was a big disappointment to me. There's nothing to do.
This really has nothing to do with the topic.
Perhaps you should have posted this in the Suggestions topic about the prototype.

I'm homeschooled (for now), and my parents are all for the idea, so back to the petition question..You could put a post about your proposed event in Questions About Scratch and see if there are others in your area that would be interested. You need to have your parents on board with every step of the process though, since real-world meet ups are obviously a safety concern. Start off by inviting people from your general area, to see if there is enough interest. If you decide to go for it, then register it on the Scratch Day Site. It can be as big or little as you want to make it
But.. I don't know any Scrarchers that live near me... (Seattle/Portland/Boise general area)

I'm not going because there are no Scratch Days near Ohio and I don't think I'd have time.
btw, in Scratch day are there kids around my age (12) or more adults and older teenagers?
Just wondering
I think there's one on Columbus. I can't see more details because it's frustrating to navigate the google map on my ipod, but I could at least zoom into Ohio.

Okay, there's one
Looks like some other people came back to take a gander at 2.0 as well.
Also, I think you guys should introduce a rating system of some kind other than love-its, A rating system would encourage people to try to learn how to get better at programming with Scratch, and right now a lot of users seem to just stagnate.

Well, it's currently 5:40 here, and my mom and I are heading to the Baltimore airport to fly to MIT!

Five? lucky xD
If you want to go to MIT next year, try suggesting Public Transit ^^ It's usually cheaper than driving long distances anyway, depending on what train service you get

We had one in my hometown, but it's a smaller town and very few people knew about Scratch. But more people are interested now because of it!

I won't be able to go; my parents are occupied. It stinks.

So my mom and I arrived in Boston this morning; I'm totally stoked for the big day tomorrow!

Sad that I won't be making any Scratch Days this year. But I'm hoping someone will upload a video of it.
