Sin, Cos, and Tag

I notice that there is a block called sin, cos, and tag of []. What does this do?

Re: Sin, Cos, and Tag

sin gets the sine of whatever number is inputed
cos gets the cosine of whatever number is inputed
I'm not sure about tag though... but if you meant tan, then it gets the tangent of the number inputed.
sine cosine and tangent are all trigonometric functions

Re: Sin, Cos, and Tag

They are mathematical terms. Here is an excerpt from the wikipedia pagewink

The sine of an angle is the ratio of the length of the opposite side to the length of the hypotenuse.....

The cosine of an angle is the ratio of the length of the adjacent side to the length of the hypotenuse: so called because it is the sine of the complementary or co-angle.....

The tangent of an angle is the ratio of the length of the opposite side to the length of the adjacent side: so called because it can be represented as a line segment tangent to the circle, that is the line that touches the circle, from Latin linea tangens or touching line (cf. tangere, to touch).

They are difficult to explain sometimes, as I have just recently learned them.
You can use these to make some great physics. I used sine and cosine in my most recent project, coconaut. It's not done yet, but there is a beta online.  wink

Thanks for making me have a headache!

Haha, that's how I felt about it too at first.
Another way is to look at other project's source and see how I did it.

Re: Sin, Cos, and Tag

Now, I get it... I just didn't know what a hypotenuse was. Google is the best. Mods close this...
