I recently installed an audio converter for my collab camp music, and with it came a malware called TextEnhance. TextEnhance is malware. If you have this problem too, DO NOT GO TO THEIR WEBSITE. Check your computer for programs you did not install. That's where it's likely hidden. See here for more info. Sorry about the off-topic post but this is just outrageous. TextEnhance must die.

I've seen it before, but only on a couple sites. In that case, I think it was part of the site, as I was looking for an ad service for my website and several said that they did that.
The worst part: AdBlock for Chrome can't block them!

There's an extension called "I want this"?
Wow, people need to come up with better names for viruses.

That's what mine called itself too.

There are so many evil browser extensions. However, my favorite is one that I wrote that changes links on Facebook into rickrolls (search rickroller, and it should be the only result). I wrote it myself.

If you see it on Scratch, it's not something on the site.

Indeed. But Scratch is where I first saw it, so I posted it here.

The TextEnhance malware extension goes by many names, so immediately delete any suspicious add-ons/extensions (ie. ones you didn't download and have weird names) and you should be fine. I see a lawsuit coming up for them. It won't end well. For them. Also, the info on their site is a bunch of junk. First off:
Text Enhance company wrote:
Text-Enhance links are designed to create meaningful relationships between advertisers and consumers.
Like that happens. I've seen a lot of people complaining because text enhance was linking to their competitors on their sites, and it's just plain annoying. The opt-out service is (as I only JUST discovered) a tracking cookie. It is EXTREMELY likely the company will be shut down or sued, and most everyone will be happy when it is. The only people who won't are the guys who made it, I bet.

by the way don't delete the extension altogether just disable it, if you delete it actually deletes one of your other extensions (don't ask me how) and re-enables itself. For me it deleted antidote.

Delete it well it's disabled, it deleted antidote for me too, so I re-installed antidote, disabled it and deleted it. That worked.

I didn't tell you to delete the extension. Find the extension that is not from a trustworthy provider, and matches names with a program on your computer. DELETE THE PROGRAM, NOT THE EXTENSION.
