It doesn't really matter about how long it is... but if you want to redo it, just edit your post.

Well, they might keep all of them for the elections then. I remember the latest elections, I think, there were very few candidates due to the higher age limit (it actually was 14 that year).
That was probably the one before last. The last one was last year and that's when they changed the age restriction to 13 and elected Harakou.

Yeah, you should be fine to change it in the next few hours as its not choosing date yet, though length isn't important, short is good so people get what you want to achieve without slogging through a wall of text. I think mine is too long

Nah, I like yours! Yeah, mine was way too short.

Yours looks good. And don't worry about length, it's quality that matters over quantity here.

Wow, a lot of really amazing Scratchers applied! Any of the nominees would do an amazing job.

I think we have a great pool of nominees this time around. Although, I think some of the nominees are more likely to get the position than others. I've got my eye set on three of them right now, but I think only two should be elected.
I'm waiting 'till next election for a couple reasons. One being that I've never actually experienced an election, which could be beneficial. Next time for sure, though.

Aw, sparks, you halved my chances of getting elected by volunteering
The competition I have all seems extremely trustworthy, mature, and responsible. This term's election is lucky to have such great participants!
+1
Come on sparks, give us a chance

Haha, if they phoned I think they would be a bit lost... "Yes, he talks about it all the time! What does he do? No idea. Something about... cats?" I'd love to hear it
Technically, they don't need to phone them though, right?

I guess not, I think the main thing is that they confirm the age and that the parents are happy for them to put time into it. That could be done over email at a lower cost, I'm sure
Actually I was taking your specific case. You're old enough, we all know that.

Yeah, no sure if calling the winner(s) is the most efficient way, but it's the safest way I can think of. If it was just through email, the Scratcher could easily fake it.
Perhaps a Skype call? That would allow video chat if both sides have a web cam and would allow more of a face-to-face serious discussion.

Except not everyone has Skype and not everyone wants to.. share their face.

I suppose that's the best way, though not everyone has Skype, I guess the ST just tailor it to the person.
LS97, I am just loving the image in my head right now of Paddle as a kayaking alien!

Aren't we supposed to be the moderators who are experts on keeping threads on topic? Oh well...

I'm sorry, LS97, but that Windows start button in your signature is telling my gut not to vote for you.

Sorry, Mr. iPad
It's a very old signature of mine, I just never changed it because it identifies me. However, if I get through to the elections, I will definitely change the whole thing to some "vote me" banner.
