You need to be more active. I'm somewhat new, (4 months) but I've never heard of you before the election. Even so, you were a fantastic candidate and the reason you didn't win was probably because there were so many good candidates.

What are you talking about? He's been on for almost 4 years, and he is very active.

Not on the forums. I had never really heard of him before the election.

I think Scratch can do what I've been trying to do forever IRL, have an election where people vote on who they think the best new mod would be, not on popularity.

You seem like you would be a great moderator: I just wasn't sure who you were before the election, so I didn't want to rate you high. If you're more active before the next election, you'll be for sure one of my top choices.

How would you implement an election in which popularity doesn't play a part?

Correct. Part of campaigning is winning the support of users. Being popular for being helpful and active, and good for a mod.
