Actually, many people vote based on how people act on forums, on the main site etc.

In fact, I would consider anyone's everyday actions to be a better judge of whether or not someone gets a vote rather than the speech

Yes, I know, but the biggest influence is your speech thingy.  I know I'm probably not going to get it, and my eternal headache just got worse the other hour, so I wasnt acting my very best.

I didn't vote for anyone....  I didn't think they made that much of a difference at the time.

I think part of the intention is as you mentioned, the only voters will be the ones that recently checked "announcements", since the Scratch Team doesn't want the election to be a popularity contest, and so the results aren't skewed because of projects asking for votes.

why?  Why can't we vote for whoever we want to?

He just wants you to vote for Gettysburg, I don't see why he can't state what he wants to happen on this matter. Oh, and @illusionist, I'm going to vote for Scimonster, he seems like the best candidate.

Ive been in plenty different places on the website, and have contruted a lot to the community.  The only person i have seen a lot on scratch is scimonster, and thats who i'm voting for.

I honestly think LS97 will probably be on there as well as those, but I'm not exactly sure.
