Please post sad stories here.
Rules:
1. It must be sad.
2. Make it fiction. It doesn't have to be totally realistic.
3. No happy endings.
4. Don't post a story that is funny, but not sad. You can have elements of humor in your story, but it must still be sad.
5. You may get a story from a website as long as it follows the criteria and you give credit.
I was inspired to make this topic after I had experienced a sad dream.

"For Sale: Baby Shoes- Never Worn"
I forget who wrote that.

OK, just something I came up with while playing AQWorlds last week. Not done with it yet:
Warlic's eyes fell on his old friend. SoulAlly Hanna lay before him.
"Drakath did this..." He muttered to Nythera. "Only he could do this to some one who trusted him."
"Hanna trusted that... that thing?" Nythera asked, eyes widening. "After all he has done?"
"Yes..." Warlic said, eyes still on Hanna. "And so she should. Drakath was a friend to her, once."
"But not now." Cysero pointed out. "He had betrayed her. And all of Lore."
"None worse then Gravelyn and The Shadowsyth." Warlic agreed.
"But, how?" Nythera asked. "He has been a pain for years! I even remember a time where The Hero had to work with Gravelyn's farther to stop him! How could that be a friend to Hanna?"
Warlic looked at Nythera, kindly. "She has an... interesting definition of friends." Was all he said.
"And what now?" Alina spoke up. "Hanna had no children. No one to become the new Dark Soul."
"And we all know Artix won't use his darkness spells if we payed him." Cysero nodded.
Warlic looked at his friend as if he had never expected that response. "Cysero. You know about Earth don't you? About The Girl?"
"I do not, Warlic. I really do not." Cysero said, confused.
"She didn't tell you? Hmm..." He turned to Nythera. "Hanna trusted you most of all. Surly you know something about it?"
Nythera shook her head.
"She didn't tell you anything about it?" Warlic tried to clarify.
"Nothing." Nythera sounded a little angry having to repeat herself.
"That doesn't make any sense..." Warlic said to himself. "Why wouldn't she tell them what she told me?"
Chapter 2
Warlic brushed his graying wight hair out of his eyes. Only one thing left for him to do now. He must find this girl that Hanna had told him about.
Sure, it would mean leaving Lore for a time, but he had to give the heros of Lore some time to themselves. It was better to let those who would be heros, be heros. He had said this before, but really truly understood it now he stood at the doorway to a new land. It was harder then he knew, to leave his home land.

I had a sad dream too. I dreamed about my sister, and all the happy times that we shared. It was so real, I thought she had returned. But then, she faded away, only to be replaced by images of hospitals, and medical equipment that were unable to save her. I woke up. My pillow was soaked with tears by the time i fell back to sleep.
The End.

I hate sad stories. I really don't like them. I've read a few, but can't remember any from the top of my head

Sad stories are the only ones that really matter in the scheme of things. They're what have an impact on people the most.

He had to listen to their cries of agony.
He also temporarily impaired my ability to say a sentence without having to resay the sentence each time I add a new word.

@Many users: Post actual sad stories. Honestly, that pickle story wasn't sad at all. It seemed to me as a way to get people to laugh. Also, post an actual story. And third, I might sound mean when I say this, but I don't want to hear about sad things that had happened to you. I personally like fictional sad stories because the story can be more unique if it's made up.
EDIT: All of the things I said were actually rules from the beginning. Please read the rules. Also, you can post something sad that happpened to you if you have already posted a story.
