Interesting use of (real!) Scratch blocks in Colombian OLPC pilot

I don't know if this has gotten they eyeballs of the scratch community
yet, but I thought I would bring it to your attention and also ask what
the best distribution mechanism would be (do you all use a mailing
list?).

I am in contact with a technical character in Colombia who has told me
about a pilot project there:
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OLPC_Colombia/Altos_Cazuca

Interestingly they implemented a novel (?) teaching method for scratch:
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Image:Cazuca_ScriptScratch.jpg using large,
physical blocks on a chalkboard.

Has anyone done this kind of thing before?  I would love to spread the
word if it hasn't happened.
