It's not normal per se, but a minority of people do. In fact there are a few in my school.

Well, isn't there a site somewhere that shows all of the available episodes (Can't remember what the url is right now...)?
But it's better on Netflix. It's like, legal and better quality (no channel markings)

Actually, if I'm correct Lauren Faust (the creator) wanted the show to appeal to people of several ages since the girl shows usually didn't have much thought put into them.
Also...

In most shows for young girls, the main characters would usually defeat the villain by turning them good or "sharing with them".
Thankfully that's not what happened to Discord. The guy's a complete weirdo.

mlp-fim.com
Their stuff is actually pretty high quality - up to 1080p in most, though that looks kind of funny on some (my) computer. Sometimes one or two of the videos are taken down, but it's not like you can really blame Hasbro.

It works on mobile, too.

You must. You'll love it. I would recommend "The Mare in the Moon Part 1"; obviously since it's the first episode it helps you learn the personalities of the Mane 6. Plus, the part where Twilight meets Fluttershy is so cute. ^_^
You should also see the beginning of "The Last Roundup". It's Derpy Hooves at her best.

They've already watched the show. They just stopped.

Pinkie Pie is so foolish.I loved the hats
/WANT
Oh yeah. Lol, Pinkie Pie and Twilight kind of fought a little over who got which hat. I liked the part where for a moment, Pinkie looked like she was going to explode from lack of hatty-ness. Also, the pipe was a nice touch.

I SO want to watch all the episodes I haven't seen yet as quickly as possible, but that would ruin the fun for me. I'll have to take things slowly. If I watch too many episodes, I'll become entirely dependent on waiting impatiently for new ones.

I got into the show just as the first season was ending, so I watched pretty much the entire season in a single weekend and then had to go all summer without any new episodes. I finally ended up reading fanfiction to make up for it, and of course now I'm hooked on that too.
