Not bad! If you have Illustrator, try making a vector trace. It's harder but it's a much better way of getting a cutout.

I mean, I haven't tried in a couple years, but it was difficult when I tried to learn it
Maybe that's just because I'm so used to GIMP

or you could painstakingly select every color you want on SAI using the select pen tool 
(the magic wand is for the weak)

I assumed Illustrator since he had PS.

You can also use Inkscape. I thought that if you had PS you might also have Illustrator. >_>
