Okay. I'm going to try this again. And yes, this time I do have a story that I can open this up with.This is Dragon Ball Z related.

“Gokuu, I’m soo hungry…” Kuririn groaned. “Can’t we find some food?”
“Well, you know what the grown-ups always say…um, patience isn’t a virtue, something like that….” Goku tried to reassure his friend, but he just couldn’t find the right words. Stuff like that happened a lot.
Kuririn and he were in a jungle, trying to survive for at least a week for Master Korin of Korin Tower. If they succeeded, they would be rewarded with some sort of special water…hmmm, wonder what that could be…
…anyway, it had been three days, and Goku had caught a rabbit and sixteen assorted bugs. The bugs were quite tasty when toasted over an open fire, which clumsy Kuririn had managed to make. Kuririn explained while he was making the fire that “[his] strength has gone up”. Goku didn’t necessarily believe him, but Kuririn was, in fact, growing in power. Little by little, nanometer by nanometer…
“Goku, hurry up. I’m starving….”
“All right, all right, keep your head on, Kuririn!” Goku said. He trudged off into the trees.
I really wish I didn’t have to do this with Kuririn, Goku thought as he looked around. He spied a rabbit, crept up on it, and was just about to catch it when—
“GOKUUU!!” It was Kuririn. Again.
“For goodness sakes, Kuririn! I’m coming!” Goku yelled. Kuririn is so needy sometimes, Goku thought.
Once again back in the clearing, Goku looked around, but Kuririn was nowhere to be found. Looking up, Kuririn was being carried away by…
“Kamesenin…?” It was him, all right.
“Goku—you need to do this by yourself, okay?” Kamesenin bellowed.
“But why?” Goku shouted.
“It’s part of your training!” Kamesenin retorted.
“Isn’t everything,” Goku said to himself. “Everything’s part of my training these days.”
Up in the air, he heard Kuririn screaming, “Why does Goku always get to do it?”
Don’t you wish you knew, a voice in the back of Goku’s mind said. Heck, don’t I wish I knew…

Back at the Kame House…
“You never did say why Goku gets to do everything…” Kuririn said to Kamesenin. “Why is that?”
“Goku’s a special boy,” answered Kamesenin. “I have great expectations for him…”
