Copy

What can I do when someone copies my project outright and doesn't even vaguely credit it to me? I've put up loads of comments, more than a week ago, and no-ones done anything, please help!!!
Lucarirox4 copied my project 'racing car game' (http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Llamalover/14520) at
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Lucariox4/16434, someone please look!

Re: Copy

Thanks for letting us know. I think everyone knows that you made the project first because of the date. There is a long discussion about this issue of plagiarism on the forums.

Some people think that it's OK for others to copy because that's the whole point of Scratch and that even if the other person doesn't give credit (which she/he should) you still do not loose anything. Well, I guess you lose some of the recognition? What do you think?

Re: Copy

Open-source sites usually are *more* careful about giving credit than other sites, since recognition is *all* the original author gets.  I think that scratch should make giving credit much more automatic.
