Hitting an object...

For one of my projects, I made a game where you are supposed to drop a ball (it is in a certain y position but always follows your mouse's x position until you click) and I want it to if it hits the ball on the very top, I want the ball (that was hit) to move a bit, but if the ball was hit near the back side, I want it to move more.

Here is what I mean:

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/cruelty … ht/2435840 is that it do you want me to change something ? firstly i made the blue ball face the red one to work out the direction and used sine to work out how it should move but not cosine because it should not move along the y .
