My language arts class had to pick a novel to read through the third trimester of the year (out of the novels provided), & I chose a book called Unwind. In this book, if a child is between the ages 13 & 18, their parents can choose to have them unwound. Unwind means to take all of a child's body parts, & transplant them into different donors- so life technically goes on. This book goes between the points of view from 3 "unwinds" who are running away. Has anyone else here read/started reading this book? What do you think about it?

I've heard about that before and it sounds really interesting. I'd love to read it.

The ending was okay, but not brilliant
I didn't actually finish yet. Don't spoil it for me.

The part where the kid was taken apart while still conscious freaked me out.
Ok. I promised I wouldn't let anyone spoil it for me, but who was it? (The kid taken apart while conscious)

Sounds kind of like House of the Scorpion, which was an outstanding book.

I forgot.
He had a tattoo on his arm and he wasn't one of the main characters.

Oof... He was a semi-interesting character though... at least so far.
