What are your team doing?
April 25-28...here in St. Louis too, so we don't have to fly or anything which is nice. What do you mean by your last question?

What will you be competing to do?

The competition involves two teams of three robots that play basketball...that's a very concise description...check out usfirst.org for more details if you want.

O_O Looks fascinating...
How long did it take you to build and program it?
Good luck for the World Championships.

Wow! That's great!
Did you build a robot and stuff? And is this the one where you build robots to play soccer with other robots?
If not, how do they judge the robots? Does yours talk?
So many questions... need answers xP

Good luck! In our robotics competition, we got tenth place out of twelve. And that was only for our area.

xP Tis fine...
Yes, we did...started January 7th and got to build until February 22nd. Then we had to pack it up because competitions elsewhere were starting.
We played basketball, not soccer, but I do think soccer was played one year...we're a rookie team so I wouldn't know off the top of my head.
They judge the robots mainly on their game performance, but the award we won judges your whole team on everything you do (public relations, a video project, our robot, safety, etc.). No, our robot does not talk (sadly).

Congratulations and good luck for the World.
When will it be?

Awesome, good luck. The idea of making a robot play sports seems pretty hard to me.

Lucky!
I went and watched the competition in my area. My school doesn't have a team though I would join if we did.

Well you're never too young to be the one to start it.

I do not live in the USA so I cannot participate.
Actually, it's called the World competition for a reason...there are other countries participating

Yeah I was thinking of starting one because my friend who goes to my school (although he's a grade above me) was at the competition watching so he could probably help.
