It would be better just to have;
(position of [thing] in [list v])Then you could just do;
delete (position of [thing] in [list v]) of [list v]Grr it always comes out as a variable. You know what I mean though (hopefully

Sorry for not being clearer earlier, that was what I was thinking 
I suppose a 'delete (number) of (thing) in list (v)' would be somwhat useful too...
Although it would be slightly harder for the MIT team to make
