I'm using Scratch 1.4 on Mac OSX 10.6. I'm running on a MacBook Pro, and whenever I open my laptop after sleep mode, everything will go white. I found that if I force Scratch to display something new, such as pressing a button, that portion of the screen will reset. However, it doesn't reset itself automatically.

I've had that problem too, except it's when I click the icon of an already running Scratch process.
It may be that the Sleep Mode forgets to re-lighten the display when the computer is active again. I think it's a bug created by both Macintosh* and Scratch.
*I have Windows, so it occurs on Windows computers too.
