Aloha everyone, I need some help

I run our elementary school's computer lab and I am super eager to get started with Scratch.  The problem is that I could install the program into the Tech account but it doesn't show up in the Student account like programs usually do.  I can't download it into the Student account at all.  THe only program I have been able to download directly into the Student account was Google Chrome.  Every other program has to be downloaded into the Tech account and then when I log into the Student's account, voila!  Not this time though.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Mahalo!

What I would to is download it in the teacher account onto a USB drive. Then, you go into the student section of each computer and open the files in te USB drive. When you find the scratch installer, drag it onto the desktop of your computer, and it will transfer it onto the student section. Then you double click it and set up scratch.

Great idea!  Unfortunately it didn't work.... Somehow the Student account is set up to not allow installations.  Sigh...Usually what I install into the Tech account automatically shows in the Student account but not this time.

You could try the files only version, it might work...

If you are having trouble with simple counting, use the following mnemonic device: 1 comes before 2 comes before 5,280 comes before 523,860,759 comes after the square root of -153 comes before π. This will make your previous counting problems seem like no big deal.

If you use Windows, you could run it as an administrator by selecting the installer > clicking on the 'File' menu > selecting 'Run as...' .
Else, you could place the files on a USB and copy them into the Student account(s).

Re: Aloha everyone, I need some help

Well, other then what has already been said about 'administrator' (What ever that is) the only thing I would be able to say is: allow for a temporary download privilege for the student account and download it like that. Once this has been done, block the downloads again.
I wish I could be more helpful.
