Scrolling question

Is it possible to make a scrolling game with a sprite stamping the backround instead of other sprites moving around as you walk? (a four-way scroller)

Yes, Cyclone103's 1-sprite Scroller is what you're looking for.

when you say four way scroller, do you mean up and down??? Lft and right???

Yes, but it would be more difficult then any other way.
