The Red Badge of Courage: worst book ever!!!! It's so terrible (when I say worst I don't mean inappropriate, I mean it stinks). I thought it was really boring. What do you think is the worst book?

Well this forum is for things that inspire you, so this'll probably get closed, but... All of the books in the Alex Rider series. They're all just so predictable.

No offense, but I don't like Wind in the Willows. I just... didn't. It started out nicely, but I disliked it more towards the end.

You made Literary Core cry.

I am in appearance before mentioning of the literary read considered atrocious that goes by the title of Twilight.

Hmm, well:
Not gory.
Lots of kissing.
No blood sucking.
Not scary.
Werewolves?
More werewolves?
At least it was written by a woman. It's good to see a blockbuster written by a woman.
Anyway.
Vampires can stop cars?
No flying.
How high can a werewolf jump?
Werewolves in the day?
Yeah. That's a few of the problems.

I quite liked it when I read it a few years ago.
Haven't read the last book though:P
Boring-most book? My sister received a Alex and Lily book... you guys probably never heard of it. Be thankful you haven't.

I honestly can't say I've ever read a book that was bad. I've read ones that aren't great or that seem boring at the time, but after I finish reading some (especially long ones or classics) I feel like I missed something so I read them again and I really like them. Watership Down is one of my favorite books because of that.

Yeah me to. I didn't really like The Secret Garden When I first started it but by the end I loved it.

Did somebody just say "The Name of this Book is Secret" is LAME? I could debate this... but I'm feeling sick and tired right now so I'm going to bed.
The Incredible Journey was a pretty shallow book.

I'm reading The Secret Garden right now. Today I finished Chapter 13, where Mary meets Colin.
I never thought the book was bad or anything, but at the beginning I wasn't really sure what to think of it. But now, I think the book is a masterpiece and a classic.

My worst book was this book called Lygya that we had to read for french class. I worked with one of my friends for a discussion of the book, and she was drawing on the cover

Probably the worst book I have ever read was for my history class where we were supposed to read "In Freedom's Cause." It's about how the Scottish stopped England from invading during the Medieval Ages. First of all, it was boring. I'm not much into reading Medieval themed literature. Second of all, it was very hard to understand it, and even a veteran reader like me had to read each chapter twice to actually understand it. Each chapter was about 8 pages, but since the book was very hard to follow along, each chapter took an hour to read.

I dislike Twilight. It's rather shallow, poorly written, has no plot, completely unrealistic, and literally caused me to throw the book at the wall in disgust.
It has a plot though.
