Bump? Also, I didn't hear any of the OST songs until the end credits with Abraham's Daughter and Safe and Sound.

Hmm.
I don't see the fuss surrounding this movie.
Is it now particularly commonplace for book-based movies to have midnight openings everywhere?
I mean, book-based movies oft turn out terribly. We have no confirmation these will be different.Actually, we do. IGN rated the movie 8 out of 10, which is actually pretty good.
Hm.
I am now given to assume I should base the worth off of a movie off the sole opinion of one writer at a company?
Reviews = Opinions = Not Credible
Though it's hard to ever base the worth of a movie on facts, widespread popularity AFTER THE MIDNIGHT RELEASE (and other initial weekend "I loved the book hype")would be more assuring.

The only thing that comes to mind when I hear "Hunger Games Premiere" is a gigantic crowd of people followed by a movie theater exploding due to the excessivr amount of people in it causing it to surrender and explode, and we can throw in a Kaboom too.

I mean really though.
Kids have to fight to death.
Has some random name like the "Program" or "Hunger Games"
They're all tracked
They're held annually
It is a fight caused to terrorize the lower population

i haven't read the book. I have the ebook though (first book) Lots of kids have read it in my class. I still like H.G. Wells books. One of his books, war of the worlds, is a z+ level reading book in our grade (6th to be exact) and z+ is the highest reading level, which means i'm at a z+ reading level or in other terms the highest there is. There are still others with my same level of reading as well.

Way to make a completely innocent topic about a movie wonder into narcissistic discussion of how well you read on a completely unrelated note about a classic Sci-Fi author.

I can side with your mom here.
Reading the Hunger Games is exactly like dropping you off in the gangsta ghetto with enough money for drugs. You're being sarcastic, right?

I watched the movie last night and it was awesome! What I loved about it was how they made the people in the Capitol look, with all of their colorful make up and wigs. That was so cool! I also love how they kept changing Effie Trinket's hair, make up, and clothes.
EDIT: Stupid formatting...I'm on my iPod and it got all messed up when I tried to do a new line...

Oh. My. God.
Just saw it, awesome as [removed]! Haymitch wasn't as I expected, but I loved Foxface. The fire was also awesome. (the one in the Games, and the costume) The crying after Rue's death seemed badly acted though.
But the mutts totally creeped me out.

Yeah, I was imagining Haymitch differently but he was HILARIOUS in the movie. I also liked the fire, it was really exciting. And I cried when Rue died, especially when Katniss was singing that Down in the Meadow song. :'(

I saw the movie today! I started crying when Rue died and when Katniss started crying. The cave scene wasn't as long as I thought it was, but it was still awesome. The mutts were pretty cool though... Even though I nearly screamed when the popped out of nowhere xD

That Was Amazing!! Best Move Ever!! Now To Read Book Two!! The movie should have been longer though. Maybe like two or three parts? It seemed WAY too short.

I went to Costco today and I decided to read it whilst waiting for my parents to get all the groceries (after having stared at the MW3 game for a good moment or so) and it's a pretty good book
