Is anyone seeing the hunger games movie? I know there's already hunger games topics, but this is on the movie. It comes out Friday at midnight (so Thursday night)

My Mom just told me she ordered tickets!
So I'm going to see it in IMAX in Albany!
AHHHHHH!
*high-pitched girly scream*
I would see it at midnight but I have school.
At least I'm going to see it on Friday, though!

Hunger Games are a little overrated from what I've read
I don't think Harry Potter is but whatever

ign rated this 8 out of 10, so I know that it will not be a bad movie. (At least not nearly as bad as that Avatar The Last Airbender Movie )
I read the first two books, so I think I'll see this. (Though I almost never go to theaters)

You're not allowed to read it? xD
Aren't you like 13/almost 13?
And, uh, I may read it some time but I fear a lot of the books are hyped around the sudden "teenagers love overmature themes in books" thing.

Have you read Harry Potter?
(If you have please feel free to form negative opinions.)

I'm turning 13 this Saturday, but my parents are strict
They're being all prejudiced, like, "Those books are too outright disturbing for your age according to your sister them ignoring the fact that she read a lot of books she's banned for me, when she was my age, blah blah blah, also aren't they kind of unChristian them ignoring the fact that 1. my older sister has read them and 2. I listed at least 10 religious people I know who've read them, and I'm sure not that many kids have read them anyways them ignoring the fact that this is "only" my entire grade, and didn't you say those books scared you anyways them ignoring the fact that this was three years ago"
Do you want more examples
Because I could provide them

Angst is always hilarious.
Like my brothers like "I AM SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOU IDIOTS"
and they are like "Well we will take your phone"
and he's like "sobsob life sucks no twitter and texting"
and I'm like "heeheehee"

Me: "But it's not fair that she's going to see the movie right before my birthday without me and the book isn't even that disturbing from what I've read--uh--heard *cough*. In fact, whatever, let her see the movie without me, just let me read the books that is what I care about anyway."
Mom: "Yeah well your sister is ten years older than you and blah."
Me: "Yeah well my sister has not allowed me to read Face on the Milk Carton either, which she read in seventh grade."
Sister: "I read that in high school!"
Me: "You said seventh grade actually."
Sister: "...Eighth grade."
Me: "Seventh grade."
Sister: "Fine seventh grade, but I shouldn't've."
Me: "Wow just wow."
Mom: "Anyway, she's older than you so..." *as if this were now settled*
Me: "I know people who are seeing the movie at midnight!"
Mom: "Name five!"
Me: *names like, eight*
Mom: "I don't know these people."
Me: "So?! You know -So and so-."
Mom: "Oh yeah. How is -So and so-?"
Me: "Don't change the subject!"
Mom: ...
Me: "So can I."
Mom: "No, the movie is on a school night."
Me: "You forget that I just want to read the books, not see the movie if it's that much of a horrible thing to ask."
Mom: "Let me talk to your sister."
Me: *facepalm*
...it went on like this for a while

Are your parents that dumb?
They're trusting your sister more than their own judgement.
Siblings always hate you.

ALRIGHT
I can side with your mom here.
Reading the Hunger Games is exactly like dropping you off in the gangsta ghetto with enough money for drugs.

And no pi3, I don't deal with such nonsense as sarcasm.

D: Is Hunger Games really that bad? I've only read a little, but I wouldn't want my mom, like, banning me from it for life. xD
