Essay I wrote- needs proofreading

This is a draft for a essay I am writing about some articles I wrote.

You see the Sun and Moon every day, but how much do you know about  them? The pieces How the Sun and the Moon Came to Live in the Sky and Shedding Light on the Sun and the Moon are both about the Sun and the Moon. How the Sun and the Moon Came to Live in the Sky is a folktale and Shedding Light on the Sun and the Moon is non-fiction.
In How the Sun and the Moon Came to Live in the Sky the Sun is generous. This is apparent when he invites the Water to visit his house. Another trait of the Sun is that he is anxious. You can draw this conclusion by Sun wanting the Water to come visit and when he built a house large enough for him. The Moon, on the other hand, is encouraging and caring. The former is able to be inferred when she encourages Sun to ask water why he doesn't visit. You can see the latter when Moon listens to Sun.
The piece Shedding Light on the Sun and the Moon gives many facts about the Sun and the Moon. Some of them are quite obvious, like how the Sun is the most important start to us because we can't survive without it. You might also know that the Moon is the only place humans have walked besides Earth. Some facts, such as how the Moon doesn't make its own light but instead reflects the Sun's light, are less obvious. Did you know that the Sun's surface ranges from 9,944 - 10,292oF (5,507 - 5,700OC) and the Moon's surface ranges from -280OF to 260OF (-173OC to 127OC)? You probably didn't know that light takes eight minutes to reach Earth.
If the folktale were to change to be based off of the article, many things would need to change. First of all, the Sun couldn't go anywhere near the water because 9,944oF (5,507OC) is far above boiling point. The Sun couldn't talk because it is inanimate (nothing could survive being so hot). Nor could it marry the Moon. They aren't even out at the same time! It would be impossible for the Sun to live on the Earth because it is too massive and would overheat the Earth.
The most interesting thing I learned from this is that the Moon's temperature ranges from -280OF to 260OF. Hopefully you learned something too. Who knew the Sun and Moon were so interesting?

OMG you should read Dogsbody by Diana Wynne Jones, it's sooo super good and it vaguely has to do with what you just said, only it's hard to describe without making it sound really stupid. You should also read all of Diana Wynne Jones' other books because they are fantastic.
