Scratchtunes - A Scratch radio station
In my free time, I like to assort my favorite songs and play them on my computer for my friends so it's like they're listening to the radio. They always tell me I do such a good selection, and I was trying to figure out how I could somehow share it with other Scratchers.
Then I remembered those accounts on here that release projects with songs in them (for example, like a project that has "Rooftops (A Liberation Brodcast)" by Lostprophets in it). I was thinking I could do something similar, but as a collaboration with other Scratchers, so you would sort of get musical tastes from different kinds of Scratchers.
Where will the projects be posted?
Good question. I'll be making a separate account called "Scratchtunes", where all the projects will be posted.
What kind of music will be on Scratchtunes?
Another excellent question! I'm looking to have a wide variety of music and genres to be played on Scratchtunes, ranging from classic rock to indie rock to R&B (both contemporary styles and older styles).
What limitations are there for the songs played on Scratchtunes?
Not a lot. Only one thing. There cannot be any lyrics innapropriate for Scratch in the song. However, censored or clean versions of the song are allowed. \
Interested? Then check out the roster below to find out what jobs you can sign up for!
Project Creator - All4one (This is the person who will create the projects to be uploaded to the Scratchtunes account, once the song is retrieved.)
Music Selector #1 - All4one (This person will choose what songs will be played on Scratchtunes, by telling the Music Finder (see below) to retrieve them.)
Music Selector #2 - jji7skyline (See above. Why would I need more than one music selector? Well, I know select songs from practically every genre, but my strongest points are classic rock and 80's glam metal, and some modern hits, as well. However, I'm not too familiar with the songs that belong to other genres, so I will need another music selector who are familiar with these other genres to be on the team so Scratchtunes can truly have wide variety. I'm looking for people who are familiar with songs in the genres of indie rock, alternative rock, and modern hits.
Music Selector #3 - lukanater (See above.)
Music Finder #1 - jji7skyline (I need somebody to find the songs that are requested by the Music Selectors or people requesting songs. I need people with sources that allows them to get practically any song from any genre out there, and also allows the songs to be used in Scratch projects. Once the Music Finder has gotten a song to be used in Scratchtunes, they will post it on an alternative account, and then delete the project once I've retrieved it.)
Music Finder #2 - Codebreaker (See above. I might need a second Music Finder in case the other Music Finder cannot find the song they were told to find. Music Finder #2 has all the same necessities as Music Finder #1 has, and they must do the same things that Music Finder #1 has to do.)
Once I think we can start production on Scratchtunes, I will post in the thread alerting you about it. First, we need enough people to sign up.

I know a lot of good Reggae bands. I'd be willing to assist this project.
My stepdad own about 5 days worth of music if you listened to it without stopping, so has a huge assortment from Sitar music to dubstep to heavy metal.

perhaps if some people recorded their voices and made it into a radio talk show. it could be as short as "welcome to scratch tunes, here's out next song:" before the music starts, or it could have the latest news and updates from scratch, among other things spoken.
it would be wise if you allow me to make you a deal. i will Sponsor this, and believe me, i have a lot of control over advertising with my advert thread (14,000 views, 187 projects) and with the celebrations day coming on April 29th, i will most likely see a larger-than-normal number of views. however, as part of the deal it would be nice for you to have at the beginning "sponsored by the scratch cat's hideout." like they do with real tv and radio. but because it's sunny outside and i'm feeling great today we could come to another agreement, but i don;t think having a 2 second (if that) sponsor advert should be a problem. if you decline my offer i will totally understand.

I really like the idea of a spoken-word thing at the beginning; it would be just like you're listening to the radio! ^^

so, for now I'll make a "coming soon" advertisement, with a link to this thread. as soon as the first radio show comes out, tell me and i'll link it to that instead.
would you like to make your own description? it needs to be a maximum of 2 lines. if not, i'll do it for you but you probably have a better idea of how you want it advertised.

Exactly what I thought :3 I talked about this with the owner of another Scratch radio (that used an actual online radio system) but as far as I know nothing ever happened. 
We'll see in April when we have everything ready (hopefully), then.
