No, sorry - the large build up in the National Debt started with Regan, continued with the first Bush, leveled out and started to reduce with Clinton, then took off again with Bush II.  See this source, for instance

exactly. what makes you want to vote for people who will put us trillions/billions of dollers in debt? they'll just start taking our money to pay it off.

I'm afraid you might be on your own there. Most thinking Republicans I know (the anti-Palin type) are glad that McCain and Bush are out of the picture (and I live in AZ, and have seen McCain around occasionally). I get the feeling you might be repeating stuff you heard over a plate of tuna casserole at dinner, so I don't want to sound mean, but maybe your party should think about what it wants to be in 2012 (hint: after the GOP beer goggles wear off, Palin is going to be doing the TV weather report in Ketchikan and buying juice boxes for the JV hockey team  smile

I think "debate" is dignifying it somewhat.

If "Mcain08" wants to debate, he needs to

a) make valid arguments based on facts
b) not insult people who disagree with him
c) go to a website aimed at adults debating, rather than one aimed at kids having fun

At the moment, it is more trolling than debate.

Re: Politics

He has already done something great - confirmed that the VP is part of the executive branch, and confirmed that the executive branch is beholden to law and the constitution - something that none of Bush, McCain, or Palin were willing or able to do.  Bush specifically tried to make out that the VP was a separate entity not beholden to the constitution or the executive branch, in order to try to weasel out of having to submit incriminating documents to an investigation.

He also has a team reviewing all of Bush's executive vetoes and "signing statements"  to see if any of them need undoing.

The facts of Obama's voting record and bill sponsoring have been posted, and are avaialbe for any member of the public to se, and you still maintain the lie that he has not voted nor sponsored bills.  This, indisputably, makes you a liar.  And a foolish one at that, since your lies are so easily exposed.

Wow… just wow. Apparently you are to busy praying to Obama, your Messiah. Have I said anything about him sponsoring after you posted that? Without saying it's a bad source? Apparently, go take some time ,read through the thread, take some anger management as obviously you are too angry to even bother to look, and than come back. Sheesh

Well, you ignored it at least twice, and haven't retracted your claim, so I'm assuming you are still trying to claim its true.  If You are NOT a liar, please feel free to make a post stating that you were previously mistaken and that you retract all of your false claims.

Too hard for you?  Tell you what, try this:

Instead of telling us what is bad about Obama, tell us what is good about McCain, without referencing or comparing with Obama at all.  Such a worthy candidate must have hundreds of good points you can talk about without having to resort to smearing the opposition, surely.

Alright. I'll try my best not comparing him or using Obama's name:

McCain has many years in senate, over 30. He has served in numerous wars, which means he knows exactly how to act and prepare when a war is going on/about to happen. His tax plan is not to tax any class or big business, as he believes that we should not bet increasing/making new taxes in this crisis. He gives you $5,000.00 to choose a healthcare plan that works for you- a great headstart for families in need. He believes in honoring those who died bringing Iraq's freedom by continuing to fight until the mission is done, making those deaths meaningful. He will than go into Iran and stabilize the objective there- getting their nuclear weapons, which they said at first chance they will bomb Israel.

A guy who has "been around the block a few times", has been in senate, so knows what to do/how to do it on basically everything because of his vast experience not just in Senate, but in war too. You can trust a man who was born into a war, with parents fighting in it, and than doing it himself. He knows what to do in Economics and how to stop he. He fights the important issues head on with knowledge and common sense

Re: Politics

Now THAT'S how politics should be.
-Obama is not afraid of change
-By stopping the war, he is preventing thousands of pointless deaths
-He is the first African-American president (I know, that's kinda pointless, but...)
-He has ALSO been in Senate, just for a shorter period of time... so he's not exactly clueless.
-I'm Canadian, so that's really all I know. But I just like Obama better, and he's already won, so there's no point being harsh.

See, now I come in and say:

-He is not honoring the deaths and is withdrawing in defeat
-That was a major part of why he was elected
-Yep. About 28 years shorter
-I'm American  lol

Now you respond
