Is it possible to lend a thread?

(I know I'm not meant to be on forums till Saturday, but I just had to ask) Let's say I were on holiday for a week, would it be possible to "lend" someone a thread, so that they get control over it and it is put under their name, but then immediately on request I (or the original owner) would get it back after that time no questions asked?

Re: Is it possible to lend a thread?

No, for a couple reasons:

1. There is no way to change the author of a topic
2. There is no way to allow another user control over your topic
3. Even if you allowed a moderator to have control while you were gone, you'd have to arrange it with them, as it isn't their responsibility, and they wouldn't have to say yes.

However, I'm sure if you wanted a topic to be closed, deleted, opened, or edited, you could always report it and ask for that to be done at a later date. Then the mods could just not mark it as read 'till that day.

Mark as read doesn't work like that, Steve.

No. FluxBB (certainly the old version that Scratch uses) doesn't have that feature.

No, zapping a report is marking it as read. How does it not work like that?

Re: Is it possible to lend a thread?

Nope, and it'd take an awful lot of coding to allow that feature as well.
