Thanks!  smile

So what have you already started? I looked through most of the pages and saw the cool ideas you had for fakemon's.

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

Yeah starwest, sorry 'bout that.

Lots of our members have been inactive for a bit, and there's only a few of us left to keep ourselves going.

That's why I let you into the team, because lots of our programmers can't make it. popopobob, one of the most Scratch advanced in the collab has been inactive due to school (but with Christmas nigh, I hope that clears up soon) and the infamous Zangooser has already had three months of inactivity earlier, came and was active for a while...

And now she's bailed on us again.  tongue

Funnily enough, she posts projects frequently.

Oh, you are.  tongue

I'll need max to start you off as he's now the leader.

I guess I could tell you what to do... but I can't because I don't know what you should do. popopobob has been a little quiet about what he's been working on, so you may have to wait for a while.

BTW, "oink" is the collab's term for "bump" so when you see that, it means bump. XD

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

Okay guys. I haven't been posting here but I have been reading. There isn't much progress I can see but if anything is to happen, I see that the actual maps have to be created before and Fakemon concepts and sprites can be created. We make no progress to have the Fakemon before the maps. We don't know where it'll be and whatnot. I am just saying that for now we focus on the creation of the maps.

Agreed, we made a bunch of posts about this earlier as well, we can't do much until maps are done.

Time to get started on those!

Alright then,

We don't have many good spriters available, and my maps are trash. I'll post one of them later, to show you guys how bad they are.

So now the big question: how are we going to make these maps?

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

Game's part on it:
Pages 1-10:

I've got an idea for the lightning dragon as a basis:
Chinese Dragon

The goldcrest
Firecrest

Water/Dark type Hippo
Psychic/Flying Flamingo
Steel type Elephant
An Electric type Giraffe

Dolphin

Jackal

Whatever this is:

Crystalic. It is Normal type.

OK. I've found the time (and non-laziness) to do the clumping on my part. I said I would do it, and I'm a man of my word. Plus, bey's comment motivated me. XD

Max's idea for Crystalic:
I have an idea for a random legendary: Crystalic. It is Normal type.

It has a humanoid body, but it is sealed inside a crystal. It has a special ability, Shock-Absorb, that allows it to take damage only from the type it is in, which is also the color of its crystal. I forgot to mention there are 16 crystals, that you give to Crystalic, that changes it's type and crystal color.

It's signature move, Crystal Storm, changes type along with Crystalic.

It could also be like the opposite of another legendary, so they form a duo. That "good" legendary fought Crystalic in an epic battle and the other pokemon won, so it sealed Crystalic in its crystal.

Ashurathehedgehog wrote this in believe it or not, despite not actually becoming a member. At this point in time, Crystalic's partner was nameless.

Pokedex: Crystalic, the normal type pokemon. It has a humanoid body trapped inside its crystal. It is the opposite of legendary pokemon *insert name here*.

Oh wow.

Looking through that, Zang actually had a detalied plan for clumping close to the beginning of the collab, but it had never come to fruition. O.O

Here's Zang's... oh wait...

Thanks to Iaza's great income for images, they have to be deleted after every 90 days...

I think Zang reposted it somewhere, I just hope it still exists.  tongue

Here's Perirex's description:

Perirex. It come from Periculum which is danger in latin, and Rex, which means king. It looks exactly like Crystalic, but it is not incased in a crystal. His ability is Adaptility , which allows him to change his type to the type that is super effective against the type of the pokemon he is against. This process takes 2 turns, however.

His signature move is Final Finale. It can only be used on the last pokemon on the 10th or higher turn of battle. It is also his type. It KO's himself and the opposing pokemon. This is the attack it used to defeat Crystalic in it's epic battle and seal it in a crystal. They can also talk.

I spotted a few grammar mistakes in there, I'm too lazy to fix them now.  tongue

This is part of my story for Crystalic and Perirex, back when I used a lot of smurt wurds.

"In that recreation that the two Legendary creatures had done, they had accidentally created two other Pokemon, Crystalic and Perirex. The two began fighting immediately, for Perirex was evil and Crystalic had a duty to stop it. After a long battle that the creators could not suppress, Perirex unleashed a great attack that encased Crystalic, and immoblised Perirex. During the time that the two couldn't move, their creators placed them on the opposite sides of Dosuo, a new landmass that [insert Land Version mascot name here] had created, solely for this purpose."

This works well that the two areplaced on opposite sides of the Dosuo, because there are two islands or large landmasses.  tongue

Here's Game's concept art for the Land Mascot.

Of course, since it's concept art, it needs work.

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/GameGuy65/2420964

Cuz I'm too lazy to put a link tag in.

Another link, because I'm too lazy: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/maxdoss/2405056

Then Zang posted her infamous three posts with the original starters.

Zang's very good proposal for Seegra:

One: Keep Seegra. That one’s okay for right now, we’ll work on it a bit later.
Two: Nix Seeling and Seetree (Wow, I just noticed: Seeling sounds like ceiling XP). Those two are not going to work in the way we have them right now. We might be able to work a modified Seetree in as final evolution, but Seeling just can’t stay, as I explained in my last post.
Three: Before we start drawing fakemon, we focus on the fakemon themselves: their personalities, their physical appearance, and the general vibe they give off. Are we really going to market sweet Seegra like we have been, and then turn it into a menacing tree? Are we going to give Seegra an easygoing nature, and keep that characteristic throughout its evolution line?

Another link (don't expect it anymore  tongue ) http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/popopobob/2469741

Zang's Flarcat prototype: http://i42.tinypic.com/24do9vp.gif

That's pages 10-15. I'll get 16-20 done later.

And here's the long awaited 16-20 pages of clumping!

aion5's idea for a rival trainer. It's likely this won't be used in the final product but I'll just throw this out there:

is it okay that he is mostly light blue? we could call him Tlue it is a weird name and it is a mixture of turquoise and blue, Tlue.

Pokedirector's idea for a few Fakemon he had: As for my 2 other Dosuo Pokemon, I would like the Evo of my welding Fakemon(I'm making the Evo soon), and Shrimpin.  I was thinking, how about we make Shrimpin a very defense-based Pokemon.  A Pokemon that would last long in a battle, draining a opponent Pokemon's PP.  Just an idea.

My god, with the amount of people leaving and a few coming back, how will we get the credits done?!

Remember way back when we were looking through what bugs to use for our first Bug-type in construction? Here's pokedirector's (yet again) few ideas for them:

I think the beetle should be a dung beetle.  At first, it's ground, then its evo is ground and fire....
As for the mantis, Should we make it have no evo and be bug and fighting type, or only bug?

Link to Game's Fakemon Sprites: (don't expect me to link, here's the url :3) http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/GameGuy64/2473849

As you can see, lots of it needs work on.

Darn! Pokedirector drew the jackal prevo but Tinypic deleted it!

We'll try and bring pokedirector back once the clumping is finished to get the Fakemon all completed.

Here's yet more ideas pokedirector had, quite detailed this time around.

Stomprodont:
Dragon/ground
It's a recreation of a sprite Dinohuy made me.
Maybe Zangooser could make his own version of it.

Ariadactyl
Dragon/flying
It's a pretty much  a dragon-purple Pterodactyl with sky-blue V-like shapes on the upper-curve of its wings.  It also has a V-shape of sky-blue on the top of it's head, let me try an example, it most likely will fail....
(V)
V
The top V is the sky-blue V- shape.

Ichyice
Dragon/ice
It's an Ichythyosaurus With a pure-ice dorsal fin, and teeth.  It's main color is a grayish-blue.

Yeah, lots of pictures from early on were deleted. We'll ask Zang and a few others to get them back for the last leg of the journey.

Some idea Game had: Some form of music - Like the dance place in (Heart)Gold and (Soul)Silver! And like the kimono girls, they could have some sort of back story OR it is a Gym specializing in Musical Pokémon (maybe Normal type)!

Pseudo-legendary idea by Max: I have an idea for a Pseudo-Legendary. It is Steel type and is a little like a bug in shape, but not bug type. It is covered in steel. It's evolution stands upright and has a tail and mini wings and it's Steel/Flying type. Then the Pseudo-Legendary stand's 6 feet and the arms have drills on the ends and large steel wings.

Yet another idea by Pokedirector: Maybe a Bearded Dragon Fakemon that later evolves into a Komodo Dragon similar to my Komodon?

More of Game's ideas.

Makes me wonder why there are so many more ideas than in pages 1-10...

I had an idea to do with Fakémon making.
I think we should decide all of the Gym types so we can make enough fakémon for each gym to use.

Ghost
Fighting/Normal
Rock/Ground
Grass
Water
Fire
(not in order you fight them in)
I thought about Africa's geography and culture - Ghost - about Ancient Egypt - Normal - as I said earlier - Rock/Ground - sand is made from weathered rock and ground is similar (and a mascot) - Grass - central Africa - Water - Sea (lol and a mascot) - Fire - It's hot.

This was an idea I had:

Mmm. That's a very nice idea you've got there. That's got me thinking for two more...
Uh...
Ice for the top of Kilimanjaro!
And... um... uh...
I got nothing. Except from Flying. Though I'mnot sure how many different species of birds that Africa houses.

Then Pokedirector (surprise, surprise) asked where the main character was to start. So we listed teh different environments in Africa:

Desert (Rocky and Sandy)
Grassland/Prairie
Forest
Jungle
Mountain

The famous pangolin Fakemon Pokedirector (no, really?!) created:

This would later lead up to this Fakemon's appearance, the Fakemon is one of the first Fakemon you meet which is a grass/normal Pangolin fakemon.

And that does pages 10-20!

Man, this gives me a pang. I miss Pokedirector's ideas already...

And d'ya see? I put a capital letter for his name. XD His username had no capital on it, so I always wrote with no capital, but...

Yeah, he was an important part to the team. At least I'll bring him back for the final leg!

Hope you had a Merry Christmas everybody! I hope that's the reason for the day of inactivity!
