SPL scripts

A lot of users use scratch as a starting point when they want to learn how to program. Then, when they think they are ready, they move onto a more complicated program like Flash, Java, C++, etc... What if, for an update for Scratch there is a new column called "Scripts". With it you can program scripts in what the Scratch team would make, the SPL (Scratch Programming Language). Basically you can make scripts, typing it up like how you type it up in Flash, or C++. There would be more advanced things you can do, and be able to learn how to program typing it up. In the "Scripts column" there would be one block that is like this

Run script [script v]
Where it would call upon the code written in it, decipher from the SPL, do the actions, then continue on with the blocks. Making SPL will help by: not as many scratchers would leave for harder programmer languages, there would be more capability in what you can program in scratch, and the more experienced users now have even more things they can use to Imagine and share.

Thank you for your consideration,
MaxFlyboy

Re: SPL scripts

Or instead of learning 3 programming langages, you can get a C++  book.

Ask me what I'm doing, wait an hour than roll a die, if it's 4-6, I'm playing Skyrim, if it's 1, I'm eating, if it's 2-3 I'm programming.

Re: SPL scripts

Well, that's sort of like modding.

The scripts would be much easier than C++, but have more freedom with what you can do on Scratch.

It's not a "mod" if the scratch team adds it.
