Pretty good book.

Will probably reread this summer as I read it in like seventh grade.

Re: 1984

There's this kid in my class who pretends to read that book every lesson. What I mean by that is he looks at the book and plays on his phone.

I've never read it, but it does sound quite good.

I saw a play produced by a local high school my dad teaches at.

Doubleplusgood.

This is a temporary signature. It will exist until I think of something witty.

Ahahahaha. Yeah, one of the kids in my class always does that; he pretends that he's reading, but behind the book, he has his iPhone.  lol

But yeah, it does sound like a pretty good book. I've been getting into dystopian fiction lately, so it sounds interesting. Might read it soon.

Re: 1984

It's slightly unsuitable for younger Scratchers...
It has some rather...coarse...scenes... hmm

But it is extraordinarily interesting.
Remarkably clear language and very easy-to-read.

Re: 1984

The only dystopian fiction anyone reads in my school anymore is The Hunger Games Trilogy.

I always thought that dystopian fiction should be something that could happen and actually say something about society/government, though.

Yeah, it's got a really strong message but at a cost: some content that isn't appropriate for children.
