Good, now it will be easier.
I had an idea for a modern/steampunk Wizard of Oz type thing.
The main character is the tinman, a trash can or something.  tongue

XD ok can it be 8-bit too?

YESH. :3

Did you have another idea for the plot?

How bout you have to go around and collect peices of junk (cause your a trash can) and you can make tools. I'm also thinking platformer.

He could collect junk in the dungeon and the tools you make will help him get out so he can follow his dream of being a park trash can. XD

Somehow I have to make it "sandbox". Guess what.

You can ignore the sandbox part if you really want. I might.

Level editor seems to work now!  big_smile  Still some glitches, but it does export the level.alp file  smile

Edit: pretty major glitch, only the last block that was placed is visible >.>

Edit: I found the glitch, at least.

xD
I had another idea. The Watchmaker.
A watch maker accidentally makes a time machine and lets out people/things from history. He must go about, defeating the people from history and close the portals that let them out.

Okay. I'll make the sprites (some of them at least) and upload them.
I have an idea for the title screen and such.

Re: Scratch Game Jam

Well, I ditched the idea of a level editor due to impracticality and failure (I could make the blocks in the right places, but then they were saved at the wrong location! The new save format is actually human-readable, and it's working fine for what I'll need. Youtube video is right here!

Edit: It is NOT as laggy as it appears in the video!  tongue

Did you pre make the level or is it randomly generated?

Premade. I may be able to make a level gen, but I don't think I will during the challenge. All I need now is to make the final end sequence!

Really what I was wondering is if you had managed to make an infinite level generator.  tongue
