Re: Official veggie and skyline argue/Operating System Thread

Why?? This is a perfectly acceptable thread because it's about operating systems!

What's your favourite flavour of Linux?

I like SUSE, Ubuntu (but not 11.04) and Mint. Not in that order.

Re: Official veggie and skyline argue/Operating System Thread

Why not 11.04 (and I'm assuming 11.10)? GNOME 3/Unity?

11.04 has always been buggy for me. 11.10 is fine.

I haven't tried much of either. I like KDE.

Ah. I like KDE as well, though LXDE is my favourite. I have KDE on Windows as well. :3

I've never seen KDE on Windows.

I use KDE on SUSE...

It is not required. Mac already has the best looking GUI ever.

Aqua isn't that great looking IMO. Too shiny and flashy for my tastes.

Oh and I mostly have it for the KDE applications, not the GUI.

I thought so too at first. Not anymore.

Lion is quite a bit more toned down though.

The one I've used the least. That is, the one I've had the least bad experiences with.

And how did it smell of socks?

What's your favourite distro of Linux?

I don't know any differences between any of them except for that lots of them are called Mac OS X and one's called OS X.

They're all Mac OSX

Rumours of Lion being a OSX is wrong.

Mountain Lion is officially just OS X.
ahem ahem

And I also find that it's interesting they dropped X11.
