Reggae Songs I'm Writing

I really like Reggae music. My friends and I are starting up a band, here's some of my songs (I write most of them.)

TELL ME, TELL ME

Once you've lost you home
tell me how you feel
Once you've lost you son
tell me how you feel
Once you've lost you objects
tell me how you feel

(chorus)Tell me, tell me
Up in heaven
Tell me, tell me
Down in hell(chorus)

And once you've cried his tears
tell me what you do
Once you've felt his pain
tell me what you do
Once you've walked his route
tell me what you do

(CHORUS)

Once you've been at peace
tell me where you are
Once you've been loving
tell me where you are
Once you've been happy
tell me where you are

(Chorus)

(Rapping)
Peace on earth
to the children of sky
Peace on earth
No more men shall die
Make love not war
fascism's such a bore
we kill dem all
black white yellow red
and all of dem are
Dead... Dead... Dead
No I don't want utopia
I'm not stupid
human nature is in controlia
but just do dis
don't follow you're gut
follow your heart
get out of this rut
(2 second pause)
We all dead
(rapping over)

Once you've come with me
tell me what we shall do
Once I lend you my ear
tell me what we shall do
Once government don't control
tell me what we shall do

(chorus x2)

Tell me how you like it!

Great song!  I think the message is very strong and well gotten across.

Re: Reggae Songs I'm Writing

Well, it'd only work if you had an accent, I listen to music like this quite a lot when I go do welding work for the Jamaicans who work next to where I do.

Re: Reggae Songs I'm Writing

I'm white and was born in the mountains of colorado, but I do have a lot of skills with creating subtle accents that are just small enough not to sound fake.
