I had this up in Help With Scripts, but after recieving no working help and a post that said that it was probably a bug with scratch, I decided to post it here. Anyway, the problem is that I have external sensors on my game Ultimate Lazer Tag and after you play the game for a little while, some of the sensors stop working and you can go through walls in certain directions. I don't know why this happens. Please help. Thanks!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this belongs in Help with Scripts.

Did you read the first post?
Yes, but the problem is most likely with your programming.

This might be a bug - but it could also be a scripting problem of some sort. The fact that the condition shows up both online and downloaded seems to point more towards a scripting problem, than a bug. There have been color sensing bugs in the past, but they usually only show up in the online player.
I've looked at the project and haven't found anything obvious yet...I also haven't been able to duplicate the problem.

Well I already posted it in Help With Scripts and I didn't get any help. I'll try to find the scripting problem (if there is one).
Yeah, I know. I left this topic open in the off chance that it really is a bug. But more work needs to be done before we come to that conclusion

Rather than arguing where this post should go in the forums, could you actually help me with my problem?

Which directions on which character? Your problem might be that the sensors are not placed perfectly equidistant to the character--maybe some of the lines are too far from the center.

The glitch happens to both characters in all directions, though usually down. I tried turning of the ghost effect to see if the sensors are off, but they are right where they are supposed to be.

When I download, the red player is moving through walls to the right. I think it's because the sensor is too close to the character's body, so its line goes over the sensor.
EDIT: Never mind, that's not the reason.

Try putting the rotation centers of the players closer to the middle--when they rotate to shoot, they're getting off-center.

I'll try that, but I don't think that it's the reason its going through walls.

I think that might be it. When they get off-center, they go closer to some of the lines and further from others, which might be the problem.

Paddle2See has found the solution! I made the sensors too small, and the blue walls were sometimes not able to sense them because they were too thin. Thanks to Paddle2See! Thanks also to Greenatic for taking time out to help.
