there are actually five books in the trilogy (six if you count colfer's)
i read the first three and got bored after that
it's funny how the third was originally supposed to be for doctor who

It's a really good book, the first one
but I want to buy them
not just rent them from the library
because the library would neeever see them again

Poor old Arthur Dent- his house was bulldozed for an unneeded highway the same morning his planet was destroyed for the same reason!  sad
