I have a Cray Supercomputer
Compute Node CN5400 (Dual Processor)
2 x Xeon Quad-Core E5462 2.8GHz 12M 1600 MHz
4 x 2GB FBDIMM DDR2 800MHz ECC/Reg.
120GB 7.2K RPM SATA 3Gbps 2.5"
* 4
32 total processor cores, 2.8 GHz each. 32 GB RAM, 480 GB harddrives, Plus I added 8TB of External storage.
BEAT THAT.
No, I'm kidding, I don't have that.
But I love reading all of this mac vs. PC stuff.
First of all... A mac is also a "PC". PC only means personal computer. It's mac vs. Windows.
Windows XP was the best OS. I don't care how good Mac OS X looks. It isn't worth the price. I guarantee you can get a better windows computer (even with vista) for the same price as a mac. Windows 7 will be the best though. Early versions of it are performing better than XP Professional, not to mention it looks great.
Macs look great, and usually run well, but they aren't worth the money. And don't even start using the environmental argument on me... That has no influence on my opinion of Macs. lol.
Windows 7> XP> OS X> Vista.
Although Vista could be worse. You just have to be sure that you're running 3 Gigs of ram or more.
And the Macbook Air is probably the worst mainstream laptop of all time. Way too expensive.
They're trying to convince you that a thin, light computer with no CD Drive, 128 GB HDD, 2 GB Ram, and a 1.86 GHz Dual Core is worth $2400? I think not.

Interesting to hear your arguments. However, it really depends on what you are buying it for. Mac is the best computer for use at home, period. That doesn't make it more expensive however, so the cheapest option for maximum quality is to buy cheap Windows hardware and install some version of GNU Linux (linux). Mac should really never be bought in a work context that should always be windows hardware running linux of some description (or some other variant that is also free and open source).

Mac is the BEST!!! It may be expensive, but it's amazing!!!! I heard it rose from being bought by 3% of the consumer market to 30%!!!

I don't think 2/3 of the kids here can understand what that meant.

Basically the percent of people who bought computers and chose Mac rose from 3% to 30%.
Trust me, all the computer specs are far more confusing.

Windows is good but glitchy and has lots of viruses, Mac seems to have less glitches and less viruses but I find it is slower then Windows and it can't play alot of games that windows can.

You will soon start to get warnings if you have the RC, in June or July it will delete itself.
