Cytology!

I've been obsessed with Cytology since I learned about it two months ago. I mean, seriously, who could not love Cytology? The study of cells, and cells in general are awe inspiring. Anyone else like Cytology?

My science teacher described the Mitocondrion (I think it was at least- I didn't actually retain any information from the unit. ) as "jellybean thingy with squiggles in the middle"

Mitosis is the division of normal body cells.
Meiosis is the division of germ cells, also known as * cells.
So while mitosis division creates two new cells with the full number of chromosomes, meiosis division creates two new cells each with half the full number of chromosomes.

Meiosis division actually creates 4 new cells each with half the full number of chromosomes (cells divide twice in meiosis and cells divide once in mitosis)
