When I try to connect to Hamachi, it says Scratch can't connect. My hamachi account is only online on that specific network, AND no other people are in it. Can you help me?
Details:
Scratch returned no details about the error whatsoever. However, I run Windows 7 with a PC memory of approximately 3 GB.

Are you hosting anything you can connect to?

No -- except for a Hamachi Mesh network.

Yeah, if you don't host a Mesh on Scratch then connect through another Scratch program, it won't work. Cause when you are already "connected" to the Hamachi network. But when you try to connect to Mesh, the Hamachi network looks for a computer hosting Mesh. But since there is none, you won't end up connecting.

Basically, no one is hosting Mesh on Scratch. That's why it won't connect, cause it doesn't exist.

Seriously, just how does this work?!?!
Give me a way to do it-- don't go into the details.

Host a Mesh.
Do you know how to host mesh with Scratch? (The Shift+Click the R, or use Panther/BYOB)

Yes, I know, but how does it work with Hamachi?

The same way as it works with your Local Area Network.
If you really want to know how, then I'd have to go into details.

I don't have a LAN! THAT'S WHY I'M USING HAMACHI IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! [/2ndrage]
Seriously, what's up with all these people? I believe this is wrong information.
Tell me how to connect.

Host Mesh with Scratch, then open another Scratch program up and connect by typing in the IP 127.0.0.1. If that works, then connect to the Hamachi network and then with Scratch, type in the IP for the Hamachi network.
You do have a LAN, if you didn't, then you wouldn't be able to connect to the internet. LANs are networks inside your house. So all the computers in your house that are connected to the internet are more than likely also connected to your LAN.

Oh, my connection is Wireless, not LAN... am I just not getting the point?
Aha, it appears to work on connection to 127.0.0.1. But how does it get to Hamachi?

You are connecting through wireless to your Access Point and/or router. Your router hosts the LAN. It doesn't matter if you are connected through wireless or with a wire. You are still on a LAN.
Have you tried connecting to Mesh locally? (with the IP 127.0.0.1)

Yes -- with no error message. But I still don't know if it's receiving the data.
It works, but if I try to broadcast something, it crashes the other program.

To test it, create a broadcast on the host, then on the client create a when I receive [that broadcast] block. On the Host, send that broadcast, if the client receives it, then it works.
Edit: How does it crash it? Is there an error message or anything?

No, there's no error message. Scratch is just unresponsive.

Hmm. Are you admin on your computer? Windows may have automatically disabled the ability to host connections.
When you first tried Remote Sensors or Mesh, did a window pop up, saying something like "Windows has disabled some of features of this program." then it gives you some options?

Not this time, but the first time, yes.
Now, it works but it just repeats the script constantly.

When the broadcast is received, the script is run but is repeated. With an ASK AND WAIT block, it restarts the script without waiting to give me an input.

Is the broadcast repeating on the host?

No, but the other client that joined kept repeating it.

Hmm, that seems to be a problem with the client continually receiving it. I'm not sure about that.

I don't think I need this anymore -- but I will keep this open incase anyone else might want the answer.
