Personally I don't think the show is getting better, but to be fair I don't think it's getting worse either. Now it's just the same status as the Season 7 and 8 episodes. However there were a few eps from 6 and 7 that I liked, one of them was Sandcastles in the Sand.

That describes most of the newer episodes. The newer seasons(well, a lot of the old ones still beat him up) should be called "The Torturing Squidward" season. I hate that one where Pearl 'pranks' Squidward by blaring a microphone in his ear and then to be funny they show him with tears in his eyes
Though The Camping Episode was hilarious, and that one episode.... "Oh boy! Is it time to ruin Squid's day? Don't start without me!" or that one where Squidward asks if its 'bother Squidward day' or whatever(or is that the same episode? i have bad memory XD)

Anyway, for some reason, I love Season 5, unlike a lot of others. I remember those being still funny to me when they first aired, so maybe that's why. But it seriously does have some good episodes that season.
