I did a quick take of Gone...tell me if you like it.

Reload is up now: here's the main guitar, and here's the chords guitar

I can't quit school too you know. And I've recorded piano and bass for LSJ and done a few initial takes for the piano for Gone and the bass for Reload plus piano for WIBY on short notice. And I have a major exam coming up...  tongue

Anyway, now that they are done, I'll check them out and get down to mixing. Now for Gone's piano track. I'll have my take ready soon, just in case.

Dude... I just listened to your guitar tracks, and they sound AWESOME!!! I absolutely love the improvised guitar chords.  cool

I must say, it was worth the long wait to hear such a good recording.  big_smile

I'll start my mixing duties right away then, and hopefully we can get Crimson Love out soon!  smile

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

Wait, how do you edit someone's score!?!?!?!? Don't you need a Crescendo membership to do that? I don't have one, and my parents won't spend money on that...

EDIT: Never mind. Techno, could you add a rest for 4 beats at the beginning of Gone? It will help me stay together with the Noteflight  smile

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

I'm pretty sure you can edit anyone's score by making a copy of it - you don't need Crescendo for that.

But just to make things easier for everyone, done.  tongue

I've done mine by the way. I may have to polish it a bit still, it's OK.

Guys, I've done a rough mix for Reload and it sounds great with the progress so far! I can't upload it now though since it is not entirely polished. I will toch it up and once we've got the vocals, that'd be great!  big_smile

We have one, but she is not very active...  hmm  Also, this thread is meant for band member discussions and DIY doesn't want people "interrupting," but it's OK, you didn't know that.

She is genuinely interested in joining the band, and she came under my request a while back. Let me handle these kind of situations as I would know what's going on and don't quote me in such as it may appear rude to others.

FreshStudios, we don't have an active vocalist yet and I remember that you were our best auditioner a while back when we officially didn't open auditions. I believe you were in CandyMen then, but that was a flop. There's absolutely no harm if you start recording now, since we don't have lundfamily's tracks yet. It won't be like starting all over again. Could you record My Voice to You and When I'm Beside You (the songs I linked you to), and then we can see about Gone.

a1130, I have another reason not to use your piano tracks for Gone. They are horribly off tempo. They start OK, but lag severely towards the end. That was the same issue with our previous pianist. If you're rerecording the track, you'll have to fix the sloppy quality, the lag and the timing. I've got mine recorded already, and it matches all this criteria perfectly, so you'll have to improve your new take.

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

Suggestion for Gone:

Have the violin split into harmony at the beginning of measure 62. (You would need to record multiple violin tracks.)

Psst, a1130, you position has been officially threatened.

Psst, DIY, why don't you just do a one man band, as you've covered every other spot already, right?  smile

You're not needed here. For the record, I've only ever done bass and piano for the band, so I don't get your hideous logic.

a1130's post hasn't been threatened. I'm manager, but I haven't fired him have I? It's not like I want the post, otherwise it's in my authority to do so, but I'm not doing that. The mix that I created was let down because of the piano that went off tempo.

I said this is for band members. I haven't 'covered every other spot already'. Your opinion is not valued one bit, and it looks like you want this band to crumble. We are going so well at the moment that it seems you envy our progress. I hold nothing against a1130. It's you I simply don't understand. You really need to sort out your priorities, and if you want someone to talk to, this is not the place to come.

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

Okay, okay! I said that jokingly. Sorry for offending. It's great to see you guys blooming! I actually can't wait to hear your redone songs.

Seriously. Get them done.  big_smile

I just think that you should just let the guys do their jobs. I understand that if their tracks are bad, you need to step in. And I also understand that you want to get it done as soon as possible. But again, people have lives, including you. To them, this is probably just a side project, and they aren't too focused on it. So, yea.

And yes, I know this is a band member only thread. I just needed to say that, because I'm still following your progress, and I love where this is going, but I think you just need to be more open. I don't wish to start an argument, for the record.

Yeah right...

You were provoking an argument by saying this:

fg123 wrote:

You, who is not a member of the band, has no business whatsoever to try to ignite a fight within the band (in this case a1130 and I, though I repeat I have nothing personal against him). What do you mean 'threatened'? Isn't that provoking a fight, huh?

I'm not prepared to listen to anymore lame excuses by you. Don't try to cover up for the statement you made. I seriously doubt you are genuinely interested in the band's matters and I'll be glad if you have nothing to do with it, not even intervening in our discussions ever again.

And I'm not overly-serious about this band either. I spend a huge chunk of time on my solo work too.

About the songs, they are nearly done, sans the vocals. Even Gone and Reload are done with the master mix complete. It's a hard task and was finished in no time, so I don't see why impatience should creep in.

What do you mean by have something? If you mean you make a mistake or there's an interruption, that can probably be edited out with an audio editor if you pick up on a second recording.
