Those mods have taken down my post. Maybe this is why I hate the setup here so much...

Anyway, I've sent you an e-mail with my post that was removed (I saved it beforehand >:D). Read it and find out... :/

'Cause maybe I'll be able to find one in a couple days' time.

Thanks for your concern buddy, but I already have found us one. She's terrific, so we'll manage just fine.  smile

All right.  smile
I give you my best wishes with the new vocalist.  big_smile

Received, read, replied.

I've been making some slow progress in the OOtP mix. Nothing new other than that  hmm

I'm confused...
I think I MIGHT know what's happening, but then again, I could be COMPLETELY wrong (as I often am)...

Yes, I did catch you red handed on dA. I expected much better of you than to utter such grotesque filth behind my back. You thought I wasn't on dA, didn't you?

I sent you an email a couple of days ago, but in case you didn't receive it, you're now officially not part of FC (this was a decision made by me and the "SUPER NICE manager"). Don't come behind me, begging me to change my mind, because I won't. I can't stand the comments on that ugly page of yours. How would you react if I did the same to you? You can keep grieving on dA, and I don't even care however much you hurl insults to me and tell others how "bad" I am, but you are out.

That's all I have to say. I could go on and on about you, as I didn't personally attack you for you to blackmail me without my knowledge. I am very demanding for professionalism and on-timing recordings which are submitted on a given deadline, which is why we are where we are today.

See ya, and good riddance. To be brutally honest (and with absolutely no regrets), I think the band won't lose anything with you leaving.

P.S. Check your email to see just how píssed I am. If you haven't received it, I'll resend it to you.

P.P.S. I'm sure Mari will do a fantastic job as sole vocalist.

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

Thanks Paddle, for reopening this thread.

All right, this thread is up and running again. Techno, I am expecting Mari's vocals for Early December soon possibly this week. She said she can't do Blissful Rapture and the rest of the songs for a while though because she's recording her second solo album, as I mentioned a few posts back. This means we'll have to move onto the songs sung by us guys soon (I am already working on the Am masterpiece vocals). She said she'll return when done with her album which will be soon.

Okay. I haven't listened to Mari's solo work at all, I should sometime.  tongue

I've progressed a bit on the OOtP mix as I've told you before, but right now I can't progress much since I don't have good headphones, I have to borrow my mom's to mix. I don't have school the rest of this week though, I'll do my best to get the mix done.

I on the other hand have listened to tons of her solo work. They are great and we have already agreed that I shall help her transcribe some of her songs in Noteflight.  tongue

When do you reckon OotP will be fit for release? Once I receive the 'Early December' vocal track, we can release it straight away. The Am masterpiece is also nearly done, now with just the ending solo to do (I did the vocals, but I'm still perfecting the lead guitar fade-out). It sounds absolutely stunning so far.  smile

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

Well, I'd say OOtP has more potential to be a "first single" release - it's closer to the style we've had in Crimson Love (which our fans likely know, and like us for) and it's a much fuller, and more complex song. This doesn't mean Early December isn't a good song however, but as it's a "guitar and vocals" ballad I don't think it represents our band properly.

Can't mention a specific date now, but we really should release it once we have most of the album done - otherwise the gap between the single and the whole album will be too big and people will lose interest.

Yeah, I agree with that, it's understood.  smile

But I'm not seeing the answer to the question, when do you reckon it will be fit for release?  tongue

It really doesn't matter though if the masterpiece is released before or after OotP, since I'll be done with it probably this week. If you finish yours soon however, I'll definitely be OK with OotP being released first.

I am eager to get a single released before summer draws too near to a close.

EDIT: Just saw your edit.  tongue

The usual point of singles is to keep the fans interested until the release of an album. Since the album is of full-length and releasing only in a few months, we should aim to release 3-4 singles over the coming months. Plus, I have got round to mixing many other songs as well, so the album won't be delayed too long. There has already been a long wait after Crimson Love (nearly three-and-a-half months), so if you aren't ready with OotP, I think it'll be best if we release the masterpiece soon.

I hope you get what I mean and the need for this course of action.  smile

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

I edited my post while you were posting it seems  tongue  Once we have a decent part of the album done.

If a big gap between the single and the album releases isn't something you mind, then it could even be released in mid-August once we fix any issues in it.

LOL, and I edited my post above after seeing your edit. Then I saw you'd posted again!  lol

Never mind, I'll quote what I added again below:

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

We still need vocals for the masterpiece though, were you referring to that when you mentioned working in the lyrics for a song in Am?

Mixing OOtP has been quite troublesome, pretty much all tracks get off the beat at times and I have to listen through the whole song slicing and moving stuff. I got the tone of the song done though - I just need to add some volume envelopes in the chorus and the such and I'll be done  smile

I've done the vocals.  tongue  I only need to do the ending solo as I said. It can be released really soon then.

"Blissful Rapture" is ready for recording, and should be as soon as possible, everyone.

EDIT: "Out of the Possible" succesfully mixed - shared it with the whole band (except Mari, don't have her SC) as a private track in SoundCloud.

Here is the rhythm guitar.
Here's The first solo.
I think techno wanted to play the second solo, right?

I like how Out of the Possible sounds!  smile

I think the second solo would fit a distorted electric guitar's tone better - I actually wrote the first solo with that in mind, but we'll see what sounds better later.  smile

Ok, we can experiment a bit and see how it works  smile

This is a mix of smooth distortion and delay. It sounds like a true hard-rock solo  tongue  That might not be what we're looking for in this song though. What do you think?

I can try for something in the middle tomorrow.

EDIT: By the way, if we do ever end up making a music video (not necessarily in the near future), it would be cool to have snippets of us playing our parts (and I think it would be cool for us to get an idea of what the others look like when they're playing, as though we actually jam together  smile ), so I made this

EDIT 2: Ok, Here's a compromise I've come up with. It sounds somehow happier than the hard-rock version, I think. Thoughts?

Maybe I'll try recording it on my brother's electric tomorrow, see how that sounds.

Alright, I've been busier than expected the past couple days, but here's the electric guitar version of the first solo. Like it?

EDIT: The song feels a bit slow...can the mixer(s) speed it up, by say 15 percent, to make it a bit livelier?

Though the piano line get a bit repetitive, yes  tongue  The bass and drums sound awesome paired with the high notes - might need some guitar chords to give a little fuller sound - and the ending is nice too. c:
