Last year, an article by the Wall Street Journal came out measuring hatred for baseball teams. The survey suggested that the Yankees are the fifth most hated team, Red Sox is the second (surprise surprise, Cleveland Indians are the first, I would have though it would have been either Yankees or Sox on top considering the amount of hate I see directed at them).

Personally, I'm kind of a NY-NE hybrid--I hate the Yankees (Go Red Sox!) but dislike the Patriots (Go Giants!)  I don't watch NBA, NHL, etc. so I guess I'm 50/50.
