Cool! He plays violin? Or do you mean he played it on a CD player?

I play piano, clarinet, and saxophone and I like the music of Bach, Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Prokofieff, Rachmaninoff, a lot of classical music

My favorite pieces are probably some of the Nocturnes by Chopin, the second movement of Chopin's Piano Concerto no. 2, a lot of other Chopin compositions, the "Turkish" Violin Concerto by Mozart (no. 5? in A Major? not sure  tongue ), practically every piano sonata Mozart wrote, the Second Concerto by Rachmaninoff, and the Hungarian Rhapsodies (no. 2, 6, 11, and 12) by Liszt. Actually I like more than that. I also like Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony, Piano Concerto no. 1 (which I'm learning right now!), no. 2, no. 3, no. 5 (I've never listened to #4).... And I don't want to bore you so I'll stop here.

YouTube has lots of videos of famous pianists. My favorite ones are Krystian Zimerman, Horowitz (duh), Rubinstein (also duh), Glenn Gould, etc.

Yep, I'm a classical addict. People think I'm weird because I am obsessed with it and don't really like much of the "popular" music that's famous now.  hmm

Re: Classical Music

I think, classical music isn't bad... but... I think I don't like it because of my music teacher^^ she was so scary when she played classical music on the piano xD

Not really. Songs usually imply lyrics associated with them. Then again, one could count opera songs as part of classical music.  wink

Strangely, I do not like opera, even though I like classical music.

I'm pretty fond of classical music, although I don't regularly listen to it as much as I should.

So what's good music?

Classical music takes all that time to compose and whatnot.

I didn't say it wasn't 'good' I said that to me it sucks. Good music to me is rock, punk ect. I do acknowledge that people who like it aren't mentally scarred or anything.
